Two teams are playing against each other intending to accumulate a certain number of points by winning tricks.
The dealing of the cards is clockwise. Each player receives 5 cards at first and then 3 more cards after the bidding.
Players must follow suit. When a trump is played, the players must answer with a higher value card if that is possible. The card with the highest value wins the trick.
The cards are ranked: For trump suit – Jack, 9, Ace, 10, King, Queen, 8, 7; For other suits – Ace, 10, King, Queen, Jack, 9, 8, 7.
